Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Carvory handles information when you use the Carvory mobile application and related support pages. Carvory is a private ski-day journal with curated editorial content. It does not provide public posting, public comments, follower relationships, or direct messaging.

Privacy by design: Your Ski Day entries and selected photos are designed to remain on your device. Carvory does not require you to create a public profile or share a journal entry publicly.

1. Information You Provide

Anonymous quick login

Carvory uses an anonymous quick-login state so you can enter the app without providing a name, email address, phone number, password, or social-login credential. The app stores this login state locally on your device. Carvory does not offer an account-recovery feature.

Ski Day records and photos

You may enter resort names, dates, conditions, companions, notes, and other ski-day details, and you may choose photos from your library. This content is stored locally on your device and is used to render your private archive. Photo-library access occurs only after you choose to add a photo and is subject to the permission controls provided by iOS.

Private profile

You may choose a local display name and profile photo. A selected or captured profile image is compressed and stored in Carvory’s local application-support directory. Your profile is private to this installation and is not published to other users.

Support communications

If you contact us through the in-app support entry, we process the information you choose to include so we can respond to your request. Do not include sensitive personal information that is not necessary for support.

2. Purchases and Trail Stamps

Carvory offers consumable virtual points called Trail Stamps through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payment credentials and billing. Carvory receives transaction information needed to verify a purchase, prevent duplicate delivery, and credit the purchased Trail Stamps. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Purchase records may be handled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy terms. Trail Stamp balances and processed transaction identifiers may be stored locally to deliver purchases reliably and prevent the same transaction from being credited more than once.

3. Curated Content and Safety Controls

Carvory may display editorial or otherwise platform-provided content. This content is not a public user-posting feed. For each applicable item, the app provides safety controls that allow you to:

We may process a report’s selected reason, the reported content identifier, and limited technical context needed to review the report, enforce safety rules, and prevent abuse. Blocking and filtering preferences may be retained locally. Reports are used for safety review and are not displayed publicly.

4. Information Collected Automatically

Carvory may receive limited diagnostics that Apple or the operating system makes available, such as crash information, app version, device model, and operating-system version. We use this information to maintain stability, address defects, prevent fraud, and protect the service. We do not use your private Ski Day photos or notes for advertising.

Device permissions

You can deny any permission. Denying it disables only the related optional feature. Carvory does not use private journal text, selected photos, dictated audio, or profile images for cross-app tracking or advertising. Carvory does not retain a recording after speech recognition completes.

5. How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your private journal for advertising. Information may be handled by service providers only when necessary to operate purchases, hosting, diagnostics, support, or safety review, subject to appropriate restrictions. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer where permitted by law.

7. Retention and Account Deletion

Locally stored journal entries, photos, login state, content preferences, Trail Stamp balance, and purchase-delivery records remain on your device until you delete them, delete your account through the in-app settings, remove the app, or reset the device, subject to iOS behavior and any device backups you control.

The in-app Delete Account action clears Carvory’s local login state, local journal history, locally referenced photos, preferences, Trail Stamp balance, and purchase-related local state. Deletion does not erase transaction records that Apple is legally or operationally required to retain. Because Carvory does not offer account recovery, deleted local data cannot be restored by Carvory.

8. Children’s Privacy

Carvory is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum digital-consent age applicable in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a public social profile because the app does not provide public profiles or posting. If you believe a child has provided information through support or a safety report, contact us through the Support page.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information we handle. No device, network, or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining control of your device and its passcode.

10. Your Choices

You can decline Photos, Camera, Microphone, Speech Recognition, or Tracking access; edit or remove a Ski Day; change content filters; block a content source; submit a report; and delete your account and local data from within the app. You can manage Apple purchase history and change device privacy permissions through Apple’s system settings.

11. International Use

If information is transferred across borders for support, purchase verification, diagnostics, or safety review, we use safeguards required by applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Carvory evolves or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated policy with a revised “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
